Navarrese film composer and conductor Vanessa Garde receives first Viana Prince Award Nomination

There are four candidates for the 2023 Prince of Viana Award for Culture, awarded by the Government of Navarra. They are the Aoiz Bilaketa association, the conductor and composer Vanessa Garde, the writer Dolores Redondo, and the musician and teacher Aurelio Sagaseta.

The Prince of Viana Award was established in 1990 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the birth of the Viana Prince Institution, an organisation created by the Navarra Provincial Council in 1940 with the aim of promoting culture, especially heritage conservation, cultivation of the “fine arts” and the preservation of the legacy of the people of Navarra. The Award was instituted to recognize people or entities that have stood out in the cultural field.

The award jury, made up of people who are part of the Council of Navarra for Arts and Culture, will meet next Monday, April 3 to decide on the next award winner.

Until then, let’s keep our fingers crossed!
