Vanessa Garde attended last week the first edition of FIMUCS, the Seville International Film Music Festival.

Organized by the Loyola Andalucía University, the Royal Symphony Orchestra of Seville, the Seville Film Orchestra and SoundTrackFest, the festival revolved around two days of educational workshops, seminars and informative sessions on musical composition and production for film, TV and video games. The festival counted for those sessions with the participation of composers of national and international prestige such as Zacarías Martínez de la Riva, Iván Palomares, Arturo Cardelús, Sergio Moure de Oteyza, Pascal Gaigne, Luis Ivars and Vanessa Garde.

The inaugural concert on the night of the 26th opened the festival at the Cartuja Center CITE with the Royal Symphony Orchestra of Seville under the baton of composer Iván Palomares.

The orchestra performed, among works by international composers such as Ennio Morricone and international ones such as Manel Santisteban, Zacarías Martínez de la Riva, Manel Gil-Inglada, Iván Martínez Lacamara and Iván Palomares himself, the suite from the film “La Boda de Rosa” composed and arranged for the occasion by Vanessa.

Within the FIMUCS program, the Loyola Andalucía University organized on November 26 and 27 a through program of master classes and conferences starring the composers invited to the event. Vanessa participated in one of them with a conference on Musical Production in audiovisual media with her peer Ivan Palomares, composer and director of concert music.
