Conference canceled due to coronavirus preventive measures.

Not only, but (of course), March is their month. The “Música x Músicas” series of conferences aims to make visible the work led by women in the music industry, based on their recount of their experiences first hand.

In an informal display, a conversation open to the public between two leading women with different musical and cultural professional backgrounds will address the challenges faced when fighting to guarantee real gender equality in the industry.

From 3rd to the 26th of March, we have a date with leading women from the musical and cultural scene such as Sandra Delaporte, electronic music composer and producer, international film music composer Vanessa Garde, Rosalía’s manager between 2016 and 2018, Estefanía Serrano, or managers María Ballesteros (Director of Cultural Events of the Madrid City Council) and Concha Hernández (Director of festivals such as Ellas Crean or JazzMadrid).

Here’s the schedule:

  • March 3: Sandra Delaporte (artist and producer) + Cindy Castillo (Madcool festival manager and booker)
  • March 12: Vanessa Garde + Zeltia Montes (Spanish worldwide audiovisual composers)
  • March 19: María Ballesteros (cultural events director of the Madrid City Council) + Estefanía Serrano (22 years as manager and booker: El Niño de Elche / Rosalía)
  • March 26: Concha Hernández (director of the Ellas Crean and JazzMadrid festivals) + Almudena Heredero (director of the Primavera Pro/Mim festivals)

The meeting sessions will take place at the Creative Music Auditorium (5-7 Dos de Mayo St.). Admission is free and open to all, but given the limited capacity of the venue places must be confirmed by a previous online registration.
