Directed by Alejandro Suárez and produced by Turanga Films, the film swept the awards with eight distinctions, including Best Feature Film, Best Screenplay, Best Original Music, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Cinematography and Lighting, Art Direction, and the Youth Award for Best Feature Film.
‘Kepler Sexto B’ tells the story of Zaida, a lonely girl who encounters an eccentric neighbor convinced that his home is a spaceship. Together, they embark on a “rescue mission” that brings them closer to their families.
Produced by Turanga Films, with Valencian Lina Badenes as the producer, who describes the film as “a feature film about a space Quixote,” ‘Kepler Sexto B’ was awarded Best Feature Film for its screenplay written by the duo Alejandro Suárez and Grete Lee-Man Suárez, and for the Best Original Music to Vanessa. The Best Actor award went to Karra Elejalde, and the Best Supporting Actor was awarded to Pablo Molinero. The film also received the award for Best Cinematography and Lighting, given to Pablo Bürmann; as well as the Art Direction award, presented to Maje Tarazona, and the Youth Award for Best Feature Film.
