The Spanish Academy of Cinematic Arts and Sciences has announced its newly elected Board of Directors, featuring prominent composer Vanessa Garde among its latest members. This election also brings in four additional women, marking a significant step towards gender balance in the Academy’s leadership.
Vanessa, expressing her gratitude, stated: “It’s an honour to represent my fellow composers on the Board! Thank you for your trust! “.
Joining her are four other accomplished professionals: Teresa Medina (cinematography), Marta Fenollar (costume design), Teresa Font (editing) and Piluca Baquero (production). These new members will sure bring a wealth of experience and a diverse range of perspectives, reinforcing the Academy’s commitment to inclusive decision-making.
